Words and stories have been my passion since I learned to read.
Today, I'm a language expert weaving skills from 3 disciplines into experiences reaching 3 billion people worldwide.
With over 20 years of craft, including 7 at Google, I write strategically impactful copy that's deeply human.
The power of synergy
To every project, I bring a unique synergy of 3 core disciplines:
UX writing provides the strategy, empathy and clarity to guide the way. Translation dissolves cultural barriers by conveying the original meaning and vibe, adapted to the target language. Content writing adds the imaginative spark that creates emotional connection.
Together, like the interlocked circles of my logo, a resonant experience is born.
The music of the words
My writing wasn't always like this. I once prided myself on my sophisticated language, believing this was what people wanted. Until I met Joshua, a mentor and dear friend.
"Listen to the music of the words," he’d insist, "It must speak to people." It took me time to believe that vulnerable simplicity is more powerful than clever articulation, but eventually I did. I learned that under the flawless armor, everyone seeks a human touch.
Every format imaginable
This philosophy has guided me in writing for diverse formats. I’ve led content strategy for Google Account Security protecting 3B users, and designed copy helping 200M drivers reach their destination at Waze. My portfolio also includes everything from technical guides, software localization, and legal contracts - to promotional literature, video scripts and full-length books.
Uniquely, I specialize in translating song lyrics to be singable, reconstructing rhyme, rhythm, and vibe.
Beyond words
When not designing copy or translating something, I’m on the lookout for adventures that fill life with, well, Life.
I founded a social movement rooted in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to bridge political gaps. I mentored teams on hackathons with major hospitals. I organize community events. I enjoy foraging for mushrooms with friends. I consume live music on every opportunity. I'm a seeker and builder of connection.
