Simplifying the complex
Content design for 3B users
In the era of AI, I provide the human hand that steers content ships safely. I bridge the gap between technology and emotion, crafting copy that empowers users across B2C, B2B, and NGOs.
As a senior UX writer at Google, I built trust for Account Security, shaping the language of safety for 3 billion people. At Waze, my words served as a compass, guiding 200 million drivers to their destination.
I led award-winning projects improving localization for all Google users, contributed to Google’s design system, and taught UXW at Tel Aviv University.
My approach
My process begins with a holistic understanding of the user journey and its core purpose.
By partnering with product managers and UX designers on information architecture, I ensure the content is at the core of the experience - not just added on top. I rely on research and data, leaning into cross-functional collaboration to sharpen the result. I build the frameworks and style guides that define a product's voice and enable velocity and scale. At every opportunity, I let AI do the heavy lifting while guiding it for safety and consistency.
Localization Improvement
Process overhaul across Google & Waze
An award-winning initiative impacting all Google and Waze products: “Your valuable insights will help us deliver a better experience for billions of Android users.”

At both Google and Waze I led cross-company initiatives to improve localization quality and workflows. I mapped the localization process, identified pain points, researched solutions, built partnerships to implement them, and spread learnings and solutions to additional teams.
I was invited to share the knowledge learned in these projects at Google’s UX University and UXW Summit.
Foundational work impacting multiple teams and products
“Helen's guidelines were recognized as "spectacular". They’re scalable for Eng and helpful for users.”
To drive consistency and quality across UIs, I created style guides and frameworks to be used across teams. For example, notification guidelines shaping the experience of 100M users daily (adopted by Google’s design system), security writing guidelines, and a security copy framework with ready-to-use copy patterns.
An industry-first, company “big bet”.
The content had to help users in distress act fast to save their digital assets. This project required collaboration across multiple teams (Gmail, GPay, and more), with frequently changing requirements.
It won an award highlighting its effective UXW.
